russ anderson

founder & ceo

Born in Columbia, Missouri, Russ Anderson grew up around Central Missouri. At age twelve, he moved to a farm in Clark, Missouri before later attending Centralia High School where he participated in football and wrestling. During his senior year, Russ joined the Army Reserves and began drilling on the weekends. By the time he left for basic training, he had earned a promotion to E2. While in the Army for eight years, he served as a Food Inspection Specialist (91R). Upon returning home, Russ enrolled at Kemper Military Academy where he attended classes for a year before buying his first business, The Axle Shop. Russ owned and operated the business for seven years before selling it to one of his employees in 2004. In 2003, Russ built his first home. Since that day, he has built over 400 homes, commercial buildings and multi-family units.

Russ is a family man and has been married to his wife, Andrea, since 1997. He is a proud father of two sons, Grant and Graden. Away from work, Russ enjoys attending church at Grace Bible, spending time with his family, cooking, and golfing.

Working hard and living well: a motto Anderson Homes brings to every project.
